The Good Wife Ratings: Getting Worse, Could Get Canceled

Photo: CBS
Late last year, we wrote about The Good Wife's ratings and how they were lower than last year, only averaging about 2.3 in the 18-49 demo. Unfortunately things have not been improving. In fact, the latest episode 'Plan B' only got a 1.9 rating which is VERY low for CBS and if the show weren't so critically acclaimed no one would expect it to return next year. So what might happen? The show might get renewed and be moved to one of the 'low expectations' time slots (Friday possibly). Or CBS might give the show a 13-episode order to see if ratings improve next fall. Or the show might get canceled. It's a shame really that advertisers discriminate against older people because the show almost always ranks as a top 25 most-watched show but doesn't attract enough younger viewers to be attractive to advertisers. Is it time to start a 'Save The Show' campaign or is it too late already?

  1. Please please please do not let this show get cancelled. It is one of the best shows EVER made in the history of all shows. I'm in the 25-49 demographic and I absolutely love this show. Tell me how to get involved with the Save the Show campaign and I'll be there with bells on.

  2. Please don't cancel this show. It is one of the best shows on TV. Unlike most drama series where you can guess the ending half way thru the show, The Good Wife keeps viewers in suspense right to the end. The acting is excellent and the story lines are entertaining! Please don't cancel!! A HUGE fan who is under 40!
